SERVES – 8

COOKING TIME – 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS

Rolled oats – 1 cup

Almonds – ½ cup

Walnuts – ½ cup

Sunflower seeds – 2 Tbsp

Flax seeds – 2 Tbsp

Sesame seeds – 1 Tbsp

Cocoa powder – 2 Tbsp

Raw honey – 2 Tbsp

Coconut oil – 2Tbsp

Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp (optional)

Vanilla essence – ½ tsp

Dark chocolate chips (54% or darker) – ¼ cup

Salt – ¼ tsp

METHOD

1. Chop the almonds and walnuts into small pieces or pulse them in the grinder for a few seconds (we need small pieces; not powder).

2. Mix the oats, chopped nuts, seeds, cinnamon powder and salt in a bowl. Mix it well.

3. In another big bowl; mix the honey, oil, cocoa powder and vanilla essence together.

4. Add in the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well till everything is well coated.

5. Place parchment paper on a baking dish/tray and press the granola evenly into a thin layer. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for about 18-20 minutes.

6. Keep a watch on the granola to avoid burning. Once done, remove and add the dark chocolate chips and put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes. Remove and mix it well so the melted chocolate covers the granola. Let it cool completely and store in an air-tight container.
